| Inc. | Incorporated | A stock corporation |
| Ltd. | Limited | A corporation. In some provinces, it is permissible to use Ltd. instead of Inc., Co., or Corp. for a corporation. This is not to be confused with a Limited Liability Company, which is a different type of legal entity. |
Limited Liability Companies and Partnerships
| Abbreviation | Full term | Notes |

| ApS | Anpartsselskab | Similar to Limited Liability Company. Taxwise, it is a separate entity. The company capital must be at least HKK 250,000 |
| LLC | Limited Liability Company | Similar to a corporation and a limited liability partnership. |
| LLP | Limited Liability Partnership | Each partner is fully liable for the debts of the partnership, not including acts of professional negligence or malpractice. |
| C.V | Commanditaire Vennootschap | A partnership with one or more silent partners. |
| LLLP | Limited Liability Limited Partnership | One or more general partners and one or more limited partners. The general partners get to manage the LLLP, while typically the limited partners only have a financial interest. The difference between an LLLP and an LLP is that the LLLP's general partners file with the provincial government to receive limited liability |
