OverviewThe Commonwealth of Coretta is a huge, economically powerful nation, notable for its complete absence of social welfare. Its hard-nosed, hard-working, cynical population of 503 million are rabid consumers, partly through choice and partly because the government tells them to and dissenters tend to vanish from their homes at night. It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, pro-business government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Law & Order, Defence, and Commerce. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 40%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Information Technology, Arms Manufacturing, and Uranium Mining industries. HistoryBefore the CommonwealthThe ancestors of the group of people that would eventually form the Commonwealth were an ethnic group in the Republic of Bellaron. It was an ancient government, tracing its origins since back to the Dark Ages. In more recent history, the Republic existed with a government representing various ethnic groups. The largest of the groups were the Bellaronians, Ninnians, Thoyards, Corettans, and Vanaretians. Formation of the CommonwealthThe Bellaronian ConflictThe ExodusAberdeenGovernmentThe Executive
