Coscivistan

Coscivistan is a Kiravian colony.

History

The semiarid mountain ranges of Coscivistan were discovered by Kiravian Muslims travelling to Ghassan. The area was populated only by a few hundred nomads. THis changed when the first Kiravian settlement, Al-Kerān was built on the coast. Coscivistan was chartered as an Islamic colony, an equivalent to the many colonies chartered for Theist and Christian groups. The colony grew quickly, despite lack of readily accessible resources or tradign partners. The population rose from 500 to 12,000. Oil was discovered in several areas of the nation, leading to division amongst the inhabitants. Eventually, the colonial government granted semi-autonomy to the oil-producing regions. This, and improvement of irrigtation lead Coscivistan to hold one of the highest living standards in the Muslim world.
