Crema is nationalized Vizcoan weapons manufacturer.

Rifles

The standard rifle of the Vizcosan military is the Crema M2 5.56x45 Assault Rifle. It is notable for its rugged durability in the field, eye raising high rate of fire, and compact design while retaining stopping power due to its bullpup design. The basic rifle is very adaptable, able to support numerous sights, bipods, and the M40 single shot grenade launcher. it should be noted that the 5.56x45mm round has recieved much criticism for it's lack of stopping power. The M2 makes up for this by retaining a long barrel through it's bullpup design to deliver sufficient velocity for optimal stopping power from the 5.56 rifle round.

The S308 Scout is a lightweight, accurate bolt action 7.62mm (.308) rifle that is easily deployed in the field. Notable features are an extra box magazine (5 rounds) in the buttstock of the gun.

For larger targets, Vizcosa looks towards the MAS50-G/U. This 12.7x99mm (.50BMG) semi auto monster is used for anti-material and long distance anti-personel targets. Each box magazine contains 5 rounds. Although they are not commonly seen by standard infantrymen, these rifles are used widely by Special Forces and Vizcosa Marine Corps Scout Snipers. The velocity and size of this bullet means it can and will rip through the engine block of a car, and probably kill whoever happened to be standing on the other side. These weapons are very precise, very deadly, and -very- expensive.

Shotguns

The Crema M590 12 Gauge pump action shotgun is the only shotgun in service within the VDI. It comes standard with a headshield across the barrel, and a side saddle containing storage for 6 extra shells in addition to the 8 shells the gun holds in itself (7 + 1 in chamber). The M590 is used widely by Vizcosian Police Forces and VDI Military Police. Although it serves little purpose in firefights due to it's ineffectiveness against modern body armor, the M590 is used as an entry weapon to open doors as it's primary function.

Machineguns

Crema Arms proposed a more powerful weapon that could be mounted on the UH60 Blackhawk, as well as APC's and even in some emplacements. The prototype weapon was called the Crema MAU762-S/U, a 7.62mm gatlin gun that promised extreme accuracy and rate of fire. The VDI was reluctant, however, due to the failure of the unique design of the M17 HMG that had cost the military millions. As a sign of good faith, the VDI allowed two of these experimental weapons to mounted on a UH60 Blackhawk helicopter currently in service in Operation Urban Shield. This new gatlin cannon blew the Blackhawk's crew away, or more apropriatly, it's targets away. With an almost unreal speed of 4,000 RPM, and the six barrel design of the weapon, it was possible to maintain extreme firepower without overheating the weapon. Faster, more reliable, and far more deadly, the MAU762 was a wild success. The VDI has placed orders for these weapons to be available to the majority of it's UH60s. Because of the nature of the weapon, there is no fesible way for it to ever be used unless mounted. Thus, the M240 LMG will remain heavily used as the VDI's SAW (squad automatic weapon).

Pistols

The standard sidearm of all Infantrymen as well as officers as the Crema M1 9mm Handgun. There is nothing blatantly revolutionary about the design of this weapon, other than the look and feel of Vizcosian Arms Manufacturing. A picatinny rail rests underneath the barrel, providing Special Forces and police the option of attaching a laser sight or tactical flashlight (or both) to their weapon. 15 round Magazines are standard.
