The Government is that part of the Executive branch of the Danaan government which is contained within Parliament. The head of the Government is the Prime Minister. In fact, under Danaan law, a Prime Minister may only take office after they have successfully formed a Government which has been approved by the Parliament.

Constitutional and legal basis

The Danaan Constitution gives executive authority to a Government appointed and headed by the Prime Minister and responsible to Parliament. The specific ministries of the Cabinet are not stipulated in the Constitution. Instead, the composition of the Government and the jurisdiction of various particular ministries, within the constitutionally defined jurisdiction of the national executive, are defined by rules, as distinct from acts, of Parliament.
