This article deals with Danish as it relates to Nationstates. For more general information, see the Wikipedia article on the subject.

Danish (dansk) is a North Germanic or Scandinavian language. It is spoken by at least 56,000 people. Danish enjoys the status of an official language in Nabarro Abarca, along with English, French, and Spanish. It is the primary language in the Nabarran state of Gade.

Danish has an orthography distinct from the other Scandanavian languages, as well as a different spoken language. Nonetheless, native speakers of Swedish are known to be better at understanding written than spoken Danish.

Danish is also an official language in United Deutschland, along with Dutch and German. Danish is the widest spoken langue in Veltia, followed by English.
