Defa'ljü was an ancient city in south-eastern Rexxarae. The city was relatively small, though it was the centerpoint of the region during it's prime. The ruins were only recently discovered, and archaeological excavation at the site goes on to this day.

The city was first established during the 6th century B.C., though there are evidance of advanced settlement as far back as the bronze age. It became a center of riches and possessed a large treasury of gems in it's midst. When the city agreed to join the other Rexxaraeite cities under king Asael, it was to keep all it's wealth and gather more at will.

In the mid 5th century B.C. the city was visited by the Greek explorer Phoespelse, who was impressed by it's wealth. Phoespelse reutrned to Greece and told of the riches of the city and the entire country. An expedition was launched by the city of Thebes in order to decimate the Rexxaraeites and retrieve the treasures (see: Greek-Rexxaraeite War).

The Greek warriors lured the city's king and his guard out into the open fields, where they fought and crushed them. The invaders then proceeded to besiege and capture the city. It is evident that the Greeks did not fully raze Defal'jü, as they settled in it and fed on it's remains before a Rexxaraeite force arrived to defeat them.

The city was apparently never rebuilt.
