Design

Democracy Hall is divided into three main areas, the Congressional Hall, the Prime Minister's Residence and the Congressional Offices.

The Congressional Hall

The Congressional Hall is in the middle of the building. This is composed of two large chambers, of many rows gradually moving down towards the middle. In the late 19th-century, a speaker/microphone system was added to make it easier to hear the speakers, as well as an electronic recording device, to record who votes for what.

The Prime Minister's Residence

The Prime Minister's Residence is the smallest wing, located in the east. It houses the Prime Minister and his family, as well as his offices.

The Congressional Offices

The western part of the Hall contains the offices of the Congressmen, and is the largest wing. Each congressman has two rooms, a waiting room and his office.
