The Dos Santos Aveiro-Medici family is one of the most important families in the Nationstates World Regions (NWR). As the family from which all Catholic European Pope-Emperors are selected, it is the leading power in Catholic Europe and the Genesian Catholic Church, and plays a profound role in the politics of the wider world, both Catholic and non-Catholic.

In addition to holding the Papacy, the family has marriage relations with other nations' royal dynasties. The reigning dynasties of Nag Ehgoeg, Norightsia, Neo-Macedonia, and Chirondom have intermarried with Catholic European princesses, and New Harumf is ruled directly by a branch of the Dos Santos Aveiro-Medici family.
