Drop-rat

The Dannistrian Drop-rat is a type of rodent native to the Confederacy of Dannistaan. It looks similar to a normal rat except it has extended arms and legs. As the name suggests it likes to hang from trees and can drop on peoples heads unexpectedly! It's temperment is more timid and tends to run away from humans. However it can become aggressive if stressed. It can breed very quickly. The population can double in a matter of days. It likes to eat Dannistrian coconuts and is considered a pest in Dannistaan as it can wreak havoc in the coconut plantations there.

The Government has attempted several mass extermination programs to no avail. The lastest one ironically forced the rats into more remote areas and increased their population. Increasingly, people have resorted to using extreme measures to curb the rats population. This includes use of adapted landmines left over from the 1982 civil war and automatic chaingun turrets. Obviously these extreme measures have resulted in more problems than the actual rats themselves.
