The Fodist government owns and operates all business ventures within the nation. Each corporation started as privately owned, but was assumed by the state with the ratification of the Social Conract. Since that time each corporation has remained largely untouched and allowed to run its course. Communication between government and business is mandated by law. The entity created to foster this communication is the Economic Council.
