The Great Kingdom of Ekoz

The Great Kingdom of Ekoz is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, remarkable for its devotion to social welfare. Its compassionate population of 1.135 billion are fiercely patriotic and enjoy great social equality; they tend to view other, more capitalist countries as somewhat immoral and corrupt.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, socially-minded government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of Education, the Environment, and Religion & Spirituality. The average income tax rate is 74%. The private sector is almost wholly made up of enterprising fourteen-year-old boys selling lemonade on the sidewalk, although the government is looking at stamping this out.

Streakers swamp all public events in order to bare it all, children have taken to using semaphore in light of the recent mobile phone ban, artists are pillars of society, and prime real estate is devoted to wind farms and solar energy generators. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Ekoz's national animal is the lion, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the GE Mark

Ekoz's national language is Ekozian and it's capital city is Carnisé

Ekozian is language based on Welsh and Dutch/German/Spanish/Italian. Ekozian is spoken only in Ekoz.

Ekoz is one of three nations in the region of Scarpathia. Ekoz is known for being the most compassionate, intellegent and the most evironmentaly friendly in Scarpathia. Carnisé is the home of Scarpathia's biggest television broadcasters SBC [Scarpathian Broadcasting Channel]. This company broadcasts things like Scarpathia's biggest soap 'Barryville' to the biggest reality TV show on the planet 'Big Brother Scarpathia' Carnisé is also home to Scarpathia's Army Headquarters.

Ekoz's history goes back to the bronze ages. Ekoz has never one government type for more than one hundred years as Ekozian Leaders are fussy. In 2007, this will be the 100 year of being a "Great Kingdom". Ekoz is planned to stay this way as the entire public and government are happy.

Ekoz also takes part in a monthly competition called the ScarpathiaVision Song Contest. This is basically the 'Eurovision Song Contest but for Scarpathia.
