The reign of Hixeres I (or Hixeres the Glorious) was noted for the complete and total cultural revolution of thought within the Empire. The arts of the Empire shifted from stylized byzantine-ish works to full detail perceptive lines and angles that made the paintings of the times seem alive. Hixeres also promoted the birth of new plays, operas, and writtings that promoted the glory of the Jiao Dynasty and also the new found glory of their Garnet Relatives.

Hixeres also ordered the invasion of the southern island kingdoms to the south in order to unify the Khallaynan continent into a single Empire, this feat of conquest was completed in the year 554 N.E. with the fall of the Tutor Tribes and the death of their Prince-Overlord.

Hixeres also had every single palace and garden in the Imperial City restored and repaired, his personally oversaw the projects that preserved the glory of the Angelan Style of architecture while bringing new improvements into the mix of the Imperial City, but alas all but a few examples of Hixeres designed buildings remain intact in the Empire.
