UN members have the opportunity to endorse other UN members in their regions. The delegate with the most endorsements is the UN Delegate (sometimes known as the Regional Delegate). In the event of a tie, the UN member who first achieved the tying number becomes delegate. Also, some regions require UN nations to endorse the delegate, so that he stays in power.

Endorsements have several different functions in gameplay.

  • Endorsements are an important element of invading and defending. The battle is won or lost based on timely exchange of endorsements.
  • Endorsement swapping can also act as a form of popularity contest in some regions.
  • Any nation with two or more endorsements may submit a UN proposal or suggest a repeal of an exisiting proposal.
