Eureka

The Kingdom of Eureka is one of the oldest continuous nations still in existence in the Nationstates world. It is ruled by King Justin the Brave as an Absolute Monarchy who rules for life, with no popular vote and virtually no political freedoms; What the King says is law.

A founding member of Lord Tom's Meritocratic Isles, Eureka has been involved in the Meritocratic ideal from the beginning.

With its main financial emphasis placed soley on offensive capabilities, it has a feared army, having deployed them against several nations succesfully, including most recently Populousque Romanus.

Eureka is an original signatory to the Meritocratic Charter, the Kitimat Pact, and various other organisations, though the Kingdom itself is known for its isolationist tendencies.

Under King Justin the Brave VIII, Eureka has been at the forefront of the battle to respect and maintain the ideal of national sovereignty, not only in The New Meritocracy, but also the wider NationStates world.
