Overview

The European Union Security Council is part of the governing body of the European Union, and acts as the regions executive branch. The EU Security Council was created after the nations of the EU signed a pact entitled Pax Europa, a common defense treaty drafted by the Federal Republic of Belarum. The Security Council was initially created to defend the EU from wars and aggressions perpetrated by nations of the EU, invasions, and to generally insure the security of the region.

Members

After the passage of Pax Europa into binding EU law, elections were held to select five nations to serve on the Security Council. The five nations selected to serve on the EUSC are:

Before Triera took office as the fifth member on the EUSC, Catalunya i Llenguadoc was elected to the Security Council. However, after CCTL was nuked, emergency elections were held and the Imperium of Triera won the majority vote.

Powers and Duties

These five nations are required by Pax Europa to "better protect the European Union from outside aggressions" and "provide any EU nation at war with military aid if the Security Council deems the war just".
