The 1998/99 season began on August 29th and again the fans were desperate for football after the amazing previous season.
Valerin City kicked off against Ki Orka again. Again they lost. Ki Orka won 2-1.
On Matchday 6 Valer vs. Valerin was the match of the day. Valer destroyed Valerin, 7-3 the final score.
On Matchday 11 Valerins season worsened when they were beaten 6-2 by Beiko United. At this point in the season Tine Athletiko, newly promoted, were at the top of the table, 3 points clear!
Valerin finally managed to beat Valer on Matchday 15. 3-2 was the final score and it ended Valers 4 match unbeaten run against Valerin. A week later Valer were beaten 5-2 by Beiko.
At the end of Matchday 17 the title race was really hotting up as the top four teams had the same amount of points, Valer CF weren't one of them. Valer then returned to Valerin killing on MD24 as they won 3-0, they beat them again on MD33, 4-2.
The season ended on May 8th with the top 5 all winning except 1, the leaders Beiko United, however, Beiko still remained 3 points ahead of second place Uguardin, they won the trophy. Newbies Tine Athletiko managed to get 7th with 47 points and 13 wins. Imomi were relegated from the FAV Premier League while Valerin Central were promoted from the Union League.
