Mostly harmless.

Farkistan was founded by Cupertino and was home to half of the original Farkers who inhabited NationStates. For a while Farkistan was a smaller sibling of Farktopia until a influx of nations brought its population to 100+. Several Farkistani and Farktopian nations now consider the two regions to be rivals, although this view is by no means unanimous.

Farkistan was home to the nation Josifovitch who was almost always in the worldwide top ten each day.

Regional Politics

The current top contenders as of 30/09/05 for the Delegacy are Craktonija, Hansentium, Fenbeans and Krankor. Krankor achieved distinction as the first nation to dispense with the quid pro quo endorsement system, as well as running possibly the most active Farkistanii campaign for the Delegacy. Hansentium is also a very active campaigner, however as of this writing it has not yet acquired the top spot (unlike Craktonija, who seems to stumble into long stints as Delegate completely by accident).
