The Fennoscandian Split

This term refers to a group of nations that were dissatisfied with the way Scandinavia was being run (or lack there of). On 2006-06-04 more than 20 nations departed Scandinavia for a newly formed "Pro-Democratic-Environmentalist" region labeled Fennoscandia.

The Nations that left

The Majority of the nations that left to form Fennoscandia were for the most part Democratic. They were a "Circle" of nations that attempted to Police Scandinavia to Democratic Pacifist Standards. Most nations of this "Circle" were U.N. Nations. The UN delegate at that time, Kapellen (Before Kapellen was Frestonia the leader of the Circle.) however, stayed in Scandinavia.

Two specific non-democratic nations that left to join Fennoscandia were Quislington and Q World Dominion. Q World Dominion was ejected and allowed to return to Fennoscandia, Quislington was ejected and not allowed re-admittance and returned to Scandinavia.

Reasons for leaving

Some nations felt the I.S.S.P. was restricting their personal freedoms. Should any nation step out of line the I.S.S.P. was there with massive military force to put a nation back in it's place.

The lack of democracy in the region was also a reason that many nations left. They felt their democratic ideals were suppressed by Muspellheim's non democratic stance.
