Financial Parkway is a Special Economic Zone (SEZ) business development on the western shore of the Buller river in Salisbury, tailored to major international financial firms. It is widely considered the financial center of Northern Haven.

History

Financial parkway was envisioned by local economic board as a area to attract worldwide financial institutions and banks to the city, by offering economic incentives and low tax rates to companies interested in basing themselves in the area.

Soon thereafter phase one of development was approved by Salisbury Waterfront Development Authority (SWDA) which opened up the 10 square kilometer area as a freebase economic zone offering incentives to financial companies. Soon thereafter the local government persue attracting high-value financial firms in an attempt to expand the commercial strength of the surrounding area.
