Finlandia

World Factbook Entry: Finlandia is the Latin word for "Finland".

Region was founded on the 23th of August 2006.

History

Finland was founded in 2006 by the Twilight Union after the collapse of the stability of the Finland regional government under Urho Kekkonen. The Finlandian government had rebuilt its prestige in mid-2006, setting up an small yet efficient government. Elections were held, resulting in Crushtania securing the UN Delegacy and Kemdoph the Presidency. At the height of Finlandia's power, the region had approximately 30 nations and had diplomatic relations and defence agreements with a handful of other regions. The main purpose of this new region was to restore Finland to its original glory and founder, Twilight Union. Towards the start of 2007, membership dwindled and the launch of an invasion seemed less likely. In May 2007, membership dropped to eight nations and governmental apparatus was non-operational. Despite the loss of their leader Twilight Union, A revival of sorts have taken place. After much discussion, Finlandia's military was mobilized to recapture Finland.

Prior to the launch of the operation to recolonize Finland, Crushtania had held the UN Delegate position for a total of 345 consecutive days.

The Finland operation was unsuccessful due to UN Delegate regional control being disabled by the new founder. Finlandia is now the brother region of Finland and was refounded August 19, 2007.
