Friendly Aliens originally came from the galaxy called the Triangulum Galaxy (NGC 958). It was ruled by the All Powerful Alpha Empire. Confident with its power the Alpha Empire allowed the formation of independent systems which could make their own laws and follow their own ethics. This allowed the creation of the Friendly Alien territories; it was a civilization based on Peace and Compassion which spread over five worlds. It had laws banning weapons and exiled anyone who committed sin to keep ethically pure. To maintain the security of the systems, however, the Alpha Empire often patrolled the area with its own warships.

The existence of the Friendly Alien nation was relatively secure for thousands of years until the Polaris Mining Facility Disaster. A group of Space Pirates known as the Perto Clan decided to make a daring raid on the Taelon rich Polaris Mining Facility, the take would give them enough credits to feed their families for the rest of their lives and they wouldn't have to live as criminals any more. But during the raid hidden Ion Cannons were fired by the miners which caused a catastrophic explosion. Destroying the entire Polaris Facility without the chance for the miners to evacuate... 1000s of miners died along with their families which lived with them.

The Perto Clan was stunned by the tragedy; why would the Mining Facility carry such powerful weaponry especially in such a dangerous area? The whole clan realized how important the Taelon was to the Alpha Empire, and they would die painfully for what they caused.

Fearing retribution the Perto Clan travelled to Friendly Alien territory, where they met with the Supreme Leader Ye'Qum and showed her the flight recordings which proved that it wasn’t their fault the facility blew up. The Supreme Leader offered the Perto Clan asylum in the Friendly Aliens territory and promised that their where abouts will never be told to the Alpha Empire. But the Alpha Empire had spies everywhere, they knew that Friendly Aliens was harbouring the criminals and the Emperor asked Ye'Qum where they were. She refused to tell him a stood behind the principles she was bought up with. The Emperor wasn't impressed however remembering that Friendly Aliens has no actual way of stopping the Alpha Empire from searching their territory they sent in a whole armada to search for the Perto Clan themselves.

After about six months of tedious searching the armada started to search an asteroid field found in Friendly Aliens territory called Teal Arch. Unknown to them the armada actually found the home of the Perto Clan. Early warning stations found the Armada heading towards them and all Perto Clan ships got ready to fight; time to stop running.

Battle of Teal Arch

The Alpha Armada consisted of 15 Freedom Class Pulsar Gunboats, 4 Hail Class Torpedo Destroyers, 2 Fear Class Ion Beam Cruisers and One Universe Class Dreadnought armed with Singularity Lasers (thought to be the most powerful weapons ever conceived). The Perto Clan Pirates had 40 Thief Class Frigates, 12 Sword Class Cruisers and 2 Ino Class Carriers each with 60 fighters and 30 bombers. Having the advantage of surprise the Pirates needed to do as much damage to the Dreadnought as possible without it firing at them. The plan was to use the surrounding asteroids as primitive weapons, they are big enough to do damage to the massive vessel yet they travelled so slow they can get though the shields because they travelled slower then the critical velocity.

The battle started on the third cycle, Thiefs attached tow cables to thirty large asteroids and moved at full speed towards the dreadnought, the armada called battle alert and entered a capital phalanx formation. The surprise was a success whilst the armada was busy moving into formation 10 asteroids hit the Universe Class disabling the main shield generators and the dorsal turret, the other asteroids were either destroyed by PD or hit some of the other ships. The Bear took an asteroid right into the stern causing a catastrophic reactor breach. Taking advantage of the confusion the Thiefs which had towed the asteroids made a desperate dash towards the two ion beam cruisers sitting at the back of the formation. About 5 of them got cut in half by the ion beams then in return they unleashed all available missiles, they pounded the shielding of the cruisers until eventually they gave way to the power. With the shields down the Thiefs hammered into the cruiser and unleashed all available commandos in an attempt to sabotage their power supply or even capture them.

With the Ion Beam Cruisers occupied, all available sword class cruisers emerged from behind the asteroids to attack. Armed with Tachyon beams they fired repeatedly at the dangerous Hail class destroyers in an attempt to wipe out the armadas anti capital abilities. The shields on the remaining destroyers were strong however without the support of the Ion Beam Cruisers they fell quickly and joined the same fate as the Bear but not without taking losses themselves 6 Swords received critical damage from the Hail's powerful torpedoes which with the help of nano-machines slowly digests the hull of the ships and the now fully engaged Freedom class gunboats. Fearing the loss of all the sword cruisers the two Ino carriers joined the fight and unleashed all available fighters and bombers. However the Gunboats excelled at destroying small craft and managed to destroy many of them aswell as still damage the swords but eventually the swords returned fire and managed to bring down each of the gunboats one by one till eventually the gunboats that survived tried to retreat back toward the Universe.

The pirates thought that was it, the armada has been defeated however whilst the fight had been raging on the Universe managed to repair its dorsal turret and unleash salvoes of singularity laser fire at the swords. Each of them fell one by one there was no defence against the singularity laser. In a desperate attempt to survive the remaining fleet evaded the fire and moved into the Universe's blind spots but they knew that eventually they would die.

Then unexpectedly a huge beam of Ion energy streaked towards the Universe and cut the whole of the turret off. The commandos successfully captured one of the Fears and started mercilessly cutting off whole sections of the Universe. Then in one shot the Universe received huge damage on the reinforced housing of its massive reactor and blew up taking the two Ion Beam cruisers with it. To this day Friendly Aliens tells stories to their children about the bravery of the Perto Commandos and how there efforts saved millions of their comrades.

News spread of the defeat, systems which normally never tried to take action against the Alpha Empire made attacks thinking that the Empire must be weak. The Emperor was furious at Ye'Qum thinking it was her fault all this had happened and immediately made a mass communication to the whole Empire. He ordained that Friendly Aliens are frauds and harbour terrorists therefore they are to be given 6 months before the whole system is to be wiped out by an Empire fleet. The Friendly Aliens had no choice but to run away and try and start another Friendly Aliens society in an area not controlled by the Alpha Empire, so construction of the StarSearcher ships began immediately. However the Emperor had no intention for the Friendly Aliens to run away, he dispatched spies to find possible weaknesses in the ships.

About five months later the ships were complete and preparations for the departure were being made. The highest ranking officials on each planet were given responsibility for their own StarSearcher. Ye'Qum captained the ship which was going to end up in the Alliance. Empire spies had found that the StarSearcher ships had very powerful yet unstable reactors; the Emperor authorized a mission for each ship to be sabotaged just before they reach their destination so that there is little chance of news coming back to the Alpha Empire of their demise.

Exodus

Days before the Emperors deadline the StarSearchers set off in a big fleet towards the edge of the galaxy. When they reached the edge the individual captains of each ship met and decided to travel in different directions so that the chance of finding a habitable planet was higher, then if they do find a habitable planet they will enhance the power on their beacon to show the others what they have found. Ye'Qum chooses the Milky Way galaxy because it was closest and all the individual StarSeachers moved off. The intergalactic void was huge it would take about twenty years to reach the next galaxy, the Friendly Aliens busily entertained themselves or decided to take cryosleep. Ye'Qum often pondered why that the Alpha Empire allowed them to flee the galaxy so easily but then she thought she was just being paranoid and let it rest. About two weeks before Planetfall the bridge became awashed with confusion as gradually one by one the beacons from the other StarSearchers started to come off their screens. The scientists were sure that the range of the singles was infinite and that contact could be maintained easily over the vast distance. Ye'Qum questioned why all the beacons would deactivate, and then she remembered her old suspicions Ye'Qum immediately called a secret meeting with all the high ranking officers on the StarSearcher, she told them she thinks that the reason the beacons are deactivating is because the StarSeachers are being destroyed one by one. This was not taken very well, not many believed that the Alpha Empire would be so cruel as to destroy unarmed ships which have so many innocent people on board. But Ye'Qum reminded them of the Emperors cruel heart and they realized that what Ye'Qum said was right, many of the officers broke down into tears thinking of all the Aliens they knew on the other StarSearchers which had died for no reason especially upset was BazZeRg and Justion both of which had lost children to the disaster. The Empire spies had to be found and stopped before they can sabotage the StarSearcher yet this search had to be kept secret as to not panic the crew of the ship. Police were placed at critical areas around the ship as to keep an eye on the aliens and Justion worked with a few trusted engineers to find the most likely areas of attack. About a week before Planetfall the time that the officers dreaded had come. The spies deployed three powerful signal jammers in an effort to send communication into chaos. Then they made their move against the reactor of the ship, four of them each had a target to reach and place Jogda Explosives only two were needed to blow up the entire ship. If the officers didn’t know about the plot they would have had no chance. Justion found the most likely areas of attack and placed guard all around these areas although it was against their ethics they had to shoot to kill, otherwise they had no idea what the Spies could do. As the time progressed two of the spies were brought down with no trouble at all finding the weakpoints in their Null Suits. However two more were yet to be found, to aid with the defence BazZeRg assembled a team to find each individual jammer and deactivate them. With the deactivation of the final jammer chatter came streaming through the communicators. One of spies found out that he was being hunted and entered a battle trance, each empire spy has been trained ruthlessly making them killing machine, and he was killing the police ruthlessly trying to reach his target. Justion responded by bringing reinforcements, under his firm leadership the police managed to bring him finally down under a torrent of fire. They thought that was it no more spies had been detected but the final spy made a bold move. He realized that he couldn’t do damage which would make the StarSearcher explode so he made a move against the engines so that there was the slightest chance that the StarSearcher would crash land into a lifeless rock or a star. He blew himself up along with a good half of the engine.

Luckily the hard outer hull of the ship resisted the explosion however the engine received major damage and ruptured. An automatic safety mechanism immediate flushed the engine out of the rear of the ship leaving the ship drifting through space with only with thrusters.

The officers reconvened to discuss the situation. They were lucky not to be dead however they no longer have the luxury of finding an unoccupied planet to settle on also they had to decide how they were going to stop the StarSearcher. The surrounding space was analysed by Friendly Alien's scientists and the most convenient planet was a blue planet which was not that far way however no possible way to stop the StarSearcher could be found apart from crashing straight into the planet. All available Aliens were moved to the rear areas of the ship and Ye'Qum thought it was her time and stayed in on the bridge, she had lived through too much grief to lead the new Friendly Aliens.
