Gaurjan

Gaurjan is a protectorate of New Khemri, it lies some 11,000km to the north-east of mainland New Khemri in the King continent. Gaurjan was at one time an independant nation, however the national government of Gaurjan collapsed leaving the country in turmoil. The nation already had close links to New Khemri and at the request of the local population the New Khemrian government stepped in and Guarjan became an Imperial protectorate. As an Imperial protectorate all former Gaurjani citizens are now full citizens of the Draconic Empire of New Khemri, and since the aquisition of Gaurjan there has been significant interchange of citizens between Gaurjan and mainland New Khemri. Gaurjan is semi-autonomous and has its own parliament under Lord Governor Frederick Van Hoogslaten that deals with affairs that relate solely to Gaurjan, additionally the Lord Governor has a seat on the Dragon Emperor's council of advisors to represent Gaurjan on issues pertaining to the whole of the Draconic Empire.
