The Geesemonkey is the national animal of Bostopia, the country to which it is native. The Geesemonkey lives on the northern plains of East Isle, and largely anywhere on West Isle.

One of the only places you are not likely to see a Geesemonkey is on Mount Bostopia. While fur-covered, the animals never seem to venture there, a phenomenon that has baffled scientists. However, locals of Mountain Zone State believe it's merely because "there's no food up there for 'em like ent there?"

Legend has it that the Geesemonkey was the first animal spotted by settlers on what is now Population Beach (Caflin State), and lead them to food, which could explain why it became the national animal. Many cast this into doubt, saying that Geesemonkey's don't tend to like warm weather, and therefore would not be at a beach. However, the simple answer to this is that the settlers landed in December.
