Generic public signage

In Athens and Midlands, The term Generic Public signing is used to describe signs and notices placed in streets, road signs and direction signs and notices in all public establishments.

The term was established in February 1983 under the Public Notice and Signing Regulations. This Statutory Instrument is one of the most complex, because it does not completely define the extent in which that Public Signig and Notices are defined.

In general, it extends to all public notices and signs placed in public view, including notices on Newspapers. These include

  • Road Signs and Directions
  • Fire Exits
  • Public Notices on Streets and Newspapers
  • Hospital Signing and Information
  • Education Establishment Signage
