About
The GASN was a global organization devoted to the promotion of peace, free trade, and worldwide development. It is not, however, the UN. That is why "sovereign" was included as part of the name, since the alliance believes in sovereign nations coming together, but retaining control of their countries completely.
</div>The Three Points
There are three points to the GASN. They are:
- The Economic Point
- The Military Point
- The Humanitarian Point
The Economic Point
The first point, the Economic Point, promises to open trade between member nations, and improve relations with other members.
The Military Point
The second and central point of the alliance is the Military Point. This point defines the purpose of the military, and the role it plays in GASN.
The Humanitarian Point
The next point of GASN is the Humanitarian Point. The terms of this point deal with the treatment of citizens and civilians, along with humanitarian operations.
The Councils
There are four councils in the GASN. They are:
- Governing Council
- Economic Council
- Foreign Relations Council
- Military Council
Governing Council
There are eight nations on the governing council, five permanent and three elected monthly. Two of the permanent nations are the founders, Cravan and Pythogria. The others are yet to be decided upon.
</div>Economic Council
The economic council meets to discuss issues on economic aid, trade, etc. the council is made up of six members, one of which is a director. The director is one of the three elected governing council members, and is chosen by the permanent members. Others on the economic council are elected in the general assembly.
Foreign Relations Council
The foreign relations council deals with relations with other alliances and non-member nations. There are six members, one of them being the director. The director is to be one of the three elected council members, and is decided upon by the permanent council members. Only FR council members have a say in this forum, but all can voice their opinions.
</div>Military Council
The military council is made up of six members, one of which is a director. The director is one of the three elected members of governing council, and is selected by the permanent members. The other members are elected by the general assembly. The military council is meant to discuss strategy, current operations, and other subjects. They do not supercede the military command.
Recent Controversy
Recently, the GASN has been undergoing a massive reorganization project along with the adoption of a new charter. Many members of the alliance are possibly going to be downgraded to validating status or even ejected altogther. However, there is no further news on this story at this time.
