After the Great War, and the ending of the monarchy in Germany, the Imperial Crown colony of Deusthafrika, was led by the Duke Fredrich of Habighorst. When the victorious Allies demanded that the colony was to be handed over, the Duke refused. After two years of fighting the combined forces of the Allies in a gurrellia war in Africa, the Allies finally agreed to the independence of the Deutshafrika, if the nation did not reunite with Germany.

The Duke Fredrich was crowned Kaiser of the nation on January 22, 1921. After this, the nation took the name of the dynasty. The Empire also provided a sanctuary for the deposed German, Austrian, and even some members of the former Ottoman monarchy.

The Empire was ruled by the Imperial party in the Imperial Senate from 1921-1975. The party combined Lassiez Faire economics, with a staunch pro military agenda. Starting in the late sixties, the Imperial economy slowed down, and the government was under attack, for their long and protracted wars aginst newly independent, formmer colonial states.

The imperial party was forced out in 1975. The Empire was then ruled by the United Left a grand coalition of left wing parties. Starting in 1980 the coaliton began to crack and the most notably the Communist Party of the Empire walked out of the senate, starting what has become known as the bloddiest day in the Empire's history.

On July 7, 1987 Communist Party and the Anarcho-Syndacalist party marched on the capital, taking the senate, and deposing the monarchy. Then led by the Senator Willhelm Haas, the United Party of Imperial Fascists launched a countercoup from the right which was supported by the military, aristocracy, and the middle classes. The coup installed Haas with near dictatorial powers, as Imperial Lord Protector of the Throne of the Empire.

The Corpratist Fascist state ruled from 1987-1995, when a coaliton of Republicans and Royalist retook the government in the midnight coup of Valentine's Day. Alexander, the last remaining relative of the Habighorst Dynasty was restored to the thrown. Also the Imperial Prime minister Erich von Rohn of the Newly revitalized Imperial Party has launched massive economic and civil reforms based on a policy of Free markets and minds
