Hilly, green vistas of unmatched beauty mark this cosy vacation and spa region, which is best known for promoting the health and happiness of tourists (tho not necessarily its residents). Excellent sunny weather and pleasantly attired young, attractive people abound. In the occasional region where clear-cutting of rainforests has been necessary for various reasons, artificial foliage maintains the all-natural feel of the continent.
Member nations may have a variety of political beliefs, and we generally avoid warfare through mediation, timeouts and the occasional motherly smackdown.
Official languages include English, Danish, Woof and Naughty Hand Gestures (generally limited to discussions just before a mediator is called). Membership requires a password, which can be obtained with an adequately entertaining telegram to a member. Reading messages on the Happy Valley Civil Headquarters page can provide some hints about member attitudes. Debates generally focus on daily statistical rankings, but member nations do occasionally have opinions on UN and other political issues.
The region has not been active in international politics, especially where military conflict might be involved, partly because they are busy petting their national animals and chatting about plesantries. Some individual member nations have extended trade and diplomatic relations with other nations and regions, but the effort has been small.
