Harka Renolds was born during the old republic in Brickburiga Central 52 years ago to Harmon and Jess Renolds. Harka attended the University of Brickburgia, graduating with a degree in political science. He quickly entered the world of politics, being elected to Brickburgia Central's city council. He served on the council for years before being elected to the national assembly. Harka was seen as a radical conservative by his peers. Harka was a registered member of the Brickburgian Right Party until he seized power 9 years ago. Harka had built a "shadow network" of loyal followers and when the time was right they took over the government. Harka declared himself Prime Minister during a televised address and accused the former administration of treason. A large portion of the military was loyal to Harka and enabled him to initiate martial law. Most of the national assembly fled their posts, but the remaining members held a special session where they "voted" to grant Harka emergency powers and make him "Prime Minister for life". The forces loyal to the old government staged a rebellion, but were crushed after 3 years of heavy fighting. After crushing the rebellion Harka decided to enact a new constitution. This constitution eliminated the national assembly and the post of Prime Minister. It stated that Harka Renolds was the sovereign ruler of Brickburgia, giving him the title Lord Patriarch .
