ISHTAR PROFESSIONAL WOMEN'S FOOTBALL LEAGUE

The I.P.W.F.L. (formerly the Ishtar Women's Football Association) is the premium football league for women in the Island of Ishtar, and it is nearly as popular the men's league in terms of ratings and ticket sales. The next season will commence after the end of Women's World Cup 3.

Ishtar's first-ever Women's World Cup soccer team is made up of the best professional and collegiate soccer players from across the Serene Republic.

The team employs a highly-disciplined, 4-4-2 Flat Back formation, and an aggressive, attacking style centered on the attack by the sweeper, strikers, and the center midfielder.

They are nicknamed the Mermaids, after the national emblem of Ishtar. The players are very popular in their home country, and many of them have appeared in commercials, calendars, and television shows.

The whole country is excited about their entry into the Women's World Cup.

Left Defender: #8 Halabra St. Troix, 24 years old. A quiet, soft-spoken brunette with a good work ethic, she brings a balanced game to the field. She is married with three children. (Harmonia F.C.)
