Stances on issues

Economic issues

  • Economic regulation: Government interferes only in dire emergencies
  • Income tax: None at the Federal level; None at the Provincial level
  • VAT: Decrease Federal VAT; Increase Provincial VAT but VAT cannot exceed 12.5%

Social issues

  • Abortion: Support a woman's right to choose
  • Death penalty: Only for treason
  • Euthanasia: Support without condition
  • Gay marriage: Support without condition
  • Prostitution: Introduce legislation to protect prostitutes while working to end the practice.
  • Drugs: Decriminalise possession of small amounts; increase punishment for possession of large amounts of controlled substances and for drug dealers.
  • Social Insurance: Continuance of current payouts from the Federal government; increase the availability of payouts from Provincial governments.
  • Welfare: Reserved for people with no viable alternative

Foreign policy

  • Diplomacy: Diplomacy is the primary tool of foreign policy but a strong military is maintained should diplomacy fail.
  • Immigration: Relaxing of current quotas with an eventual phase-out of quotas within twenty years.
  • Membership in the Hamptonian Empire: The Empire should be structured as a loose federation of sovereign nations; Ethnic and regional groups should be considered for Semi-Autonomous Region (SAR) status.
  • Religious beliefs: Political separation of church and state; absolute freedom of (non)belief
