The International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies is a private humanitarian organization that is part of the Red Cross movement along with its various individual chapters and other international Red Cross organizations such as the International Red Cross Organization. Unlike the IRCO, the IFRCRCS is not affiliated with the United Nations or any other governmental or intergovernmental body.
