Invencível-class Battleship

The Invencível-class Battleship is a new production by Asgarnieu to bolster the need for an extremely-heavy battleship, or dreadnaught. While there is already one dreadnaught in service, the need for a heavier class was ever-present. Also, for the first time, this class is to be marketed on the international front.

Construction

The Invencível-class is far too large to be built by hand, so pre-fabrication techniques had to be utilized.

The pre-fabrication takes place at several shipyards and construction facilites around the nation, thus enabling the parts to be assembled much faster. This technique is the best possible, and allows for rapid repairs if necessary.

Combat Systems

The Invencível-class is outfitted with an over-the-horizon RADAR system superior to any other produced before in Asgarnieu. It is also outfitted with a tracking and targeting suite superior to the Aegis system. The ship is outfitted with the AA/N-10000X series of combat systems, including tracking systems, RADAR systems, sonar systems, LIDAR systems, targeting systems, fire control systems, communication systems, and electronics. The ship is also fully EMP-hardened. All combat systems aboard the ship are fail-safe with quadruple-redundancy backups.

Armament

Many nations with large navies fail to see the importance of the naval gun or cannon. The massive guns aboard this ship are capable of anti-shipping, and sea-to-land engagements, and is often cheaper than an airstrike. The ship is fully capable of utilizing its missile systems for strategic standoff. The ship is also armed with anti-aircraft weapons like the 5-Inch Naval Gun and the VLS launcher. Also, the Invencível-class is outfitted with many self-defense systems, such as the Rolling Airframe Missile and an updaded CIWS. Some nations fail to see the importance of the CIWS. With the CIWS, you can have Rolling Airframe Missiles and CIWS engaging different targets at the same time, thus increasing the effectiveness of the self-defense systems. The ship is equipped with chaff and flare systems, as well as infrared countermeasures.
