Iraklion

Iraklion is the capital city of the Hellenic Confederation and its constituent state Crete. Founded in 824 AD by Saracen Pirates, the city was initially named Chandax. It is inhabited by about 4 million people (6 million including the small metropolitan area), making it far smaller than several other cities of the country such as Constantinople, Adrianople and Gallipoli.
