Japanada is a small independent and spectacularly beautiful little region. We have recently been freed from a period of occupation by another region. All members are encouraged to express themselves freely and take an active role in government affairs. All nations should check out the forums to pick a spot on the map.
History
Japanada has a long history shrouded in mystery. Facts from the beginning are scarce, reliable records begin when the region was invaded by Trav Khar in March 2004. Japanada became an occupied territory of Trav Khar at this time and remained under occupation until 17th February 2005 when the region gained it's independance. Under the Trav Khar occupation Japanada saw many changes of government and even had a brief stint in the ADN with Trav Khar but it was not untill severe internal problems in Trav Khar tore that region apart that Japanada was given it's independance.
Since then Japanada has grown from it's meagre population of 6 nations under Trav Khar to 22 as it now stands.
On 31st of May Japanada held it's first ever election for the position of Delegate, with Indomitable Musketeers defeating Commustan by 5 votes to 2 and replacing the long serving governor of the region Ozoz . After the election the Foreign Affairs department was renamed The Ministry of Silly Walks and Commustan was appointed the first ever Minister of Silly Walks. Martius, the representative from Harrioa was put in charge of the regional maps on which he has put in a great deal of work.
On the 16th of September Japanada held its second elections. Commustan defeated Taiwit 5 votes to 2.
