The Armed Republic of Josh McCracken was founded 2nd April, 2006. The leader is Josh McCracken. The nation was a member of the Pacific region until being ejected from the region for no reason by the current ambassador, The Emperor of BlackAdder goes Forth. After residing shortly in the Rejected Realms, McCracken accepted an invitation to join the Capitalist Paradise. The island enjoys a tropical climate with an average temperature of 70° F and little temperature change during the seasons.

The country was founded on the pricipal that a smaller government, with more privatization and less control would be more successful than an autocratic, socialist regime. While McCracken controls absolute power, his decisions are based on the feelings of his people through voluntary elections. The nation is an island, created from uninhabital rock formations in a shallow area of the ocean. The mountains were cut down, and formed into a ring 1000 feet high but gently sloping, and a diameter of 993 yards. This measurement produces 3097764 square yards total area, or 1 square mile. The outer ring is 200 yards wide. The inner part of the island, inland of the outer ring, slopes from 300 to 0 feet MSL from the outside in. This method of construction created a large area from a minimal amount of materials. The center and lowest point of the island is a 200 foot diameter round lake, which catches all water from the storm sewers and other runoff, yet is crystal clear and a popular attraction. 6 equally spaced pipes at the bottom of the lake keep it equalized to the ocean to prevent flooding. The capital building is a 400 yard diameter circle, 30 yards thic, kwith McCracken's quarters in the northern quarter of the building. The island has no cities, but instead has an evenly distributed population, concentrated either near the coast or the center with farming & industry in between. 4 evenly spaced highways connect the coast, which has a continuous road around the top of the outer ring, to the capital.

Citizens of The Armed Republic of Josh McCracken enjoy encompassing civil rights; McCracken believes in self responsibility and responsibility of parents. Therefore, the only laws encompass real blocks to average citizens' lives; one cannot hurt, threaten, or steal from another (McCracken believes abortions are harmful, however, and are only allowed in cases of rape, incest, or if the mother's life is threatened), one cannot slander or libel, and children must be schooled, the punishment for non-schooling is sent to the parents. There are no drug laws, and no age restrictions on products; keeping harmful products out of children's hands is up to their parents.

The school system in the Armed Republic of Josh McCracken is entirely privatized, but paid for by the government. The amount is a set amount; those wanting a more expensive school than average must pay the difference. The privatization allows for competition, and the government pays for adequate schooling for every child (and requires it). High school is more college like, with career-based education, and secondary education is also paid in the same way as primary.

The national currency is the credit, which is a U.S. quarter sized coin worth 1/35 oz gold, the same as the original U.S. dollar. The credit is set to this gold standard; there is no inflation. The official date format is dd-month-yy, and the official time is 24 hour (hhmm) GMT.

The national navigation system is GPS; no older systems have been installed. WAAS is used in place of ILS for aircraft landing, and covers the entire nation. ADS-B takes most of the place of Air Traffic Controllers.

McCracken has a brother who is leader of the Antarctic Region.
