Overview
Born as the only child of Sven VI, William was known for his playfullness and connection to the gardens at his palace. He formed the Royal Conservation Corps in 1873 and developed the first arboretums in Troyes Park. He ascended in 1873 and held a massive coronation party.
Spaden Natural Reserve
Upon returning from Paris in 1882, Sven VII ordered the designation of 2849 acres of land as natural reserve. He named it Spaden after his niece's dog. He would later name 3 more reserves between 1884 and 1891.
Assasination
On unification day, 1896, Sven VII's carriage was blow up before he had entered it. The blast had broken some of the windows outside the palace and killed 2 footmen. Shaken by the explosion, Sven VII was carried inside the palace and locked inside his room. Shots were heard from across the street and the windows in his room were damaged. He was wounded in the heart and bled to death on his bed.
