Kirav Urbanographic Classifications

Kirav Urbanographic Classifications was a document written by the Kirav Urbanography Bureau to provide a workable set of criteria to categorize all settlements based on size, population, ecomomy, and other factors. Although invented in Kirav, it is open for use by any other nations by the Kirav Open-Tabulation and Scripting Policy.

Class Œ: Ecumenopolis or Eperopolis

Ecumenopoli and Eperopoli are partially theoretical. Being an urbanized planet, and an urbanized continent, rspectively.

Class A: Agglomeration

A Metropolis is defined as a setttlement centred around a major city(ies), and having several municipalities dependant upon that city(ies) economically. Generally, the city itself would be calssified as a type C-1 or Massive City.

Class B (Umder Consideration)

This settlement classification is under reviw by the Classification Board and thus has been temporarilly reviewed.

Class C: City

A City is defined as a larger, economically independant settlement. consisting of an urban area of considerable size.
