EBG One is the flagship channel of the Eurasian Broadcasting Group. Launched as the EBG Telecast Service alongside EBG News24 on 5 November 1957, EBG One has been officially described as a channel for "premier programming and high-rated content". EBG One is more "mainstream" than its sister channels, EBG Two, EBG Three, EBG Four, and EBG Five. Popular programmes include the hit show Spooks, My Family, Absolute Power, and Extras. EBG One simulcasts with EBG News24 from 0100 to 0600, when The World Today appears until 0900. Afterwards, standard programming begins. Popular programmes from other EBG channels are often moved here.
