The Socialist Republic

The Democratic Federation of Leninist Workers is a massive, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its devotion to socialism. Its compassionate, hard-working, cynical population of 5.924 billion are ruled by a mostly-benevolent dictator, WOLFSON, who grants the populace the freedom to live their own lives but watches carefully for anyone to slip up. Massive sums of money from the budget are allocated to research into human reanimation, which has resulted in several "incidents." This dangerous tampering with the "Living Dead" continues today, despite repeated denials by the government.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent, corrupt government stops and the rest of society begins, but it juggles the competing demands of the Environment, Education, and Social Equality. There are no legal political entities besides the Communist Party of Leninist Workers (CPLW). Elections are held every 6 years, and candidates must be suggested by those who know them personally as hard workers. The average income tax rate is 100%, as per Marxist theory, as commanded by WOLFSON

All forms of advertising are banned, employers may fire workers without giving any reason, the latest Harry Potter book is a bestseller, and marijuana is legal in the privacy of your own home. Crime is totally unknown, thanks to the all-pervasive police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Leninist Workers's national animal is the Grey Wolf, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests, and its currency is the dollar.

Economy

The economy of LW is imploded. Mainly due to previously attempted capitalist reforms, which proved disastrous for the moderately successful socialist economic system. Leninist Workers is beginning some democratic reforms and has attempted to move towards a mixed economy, but WOLFSON has reversed these reforms and maintained a tight grip on command economy principles. WOLFSON's form of socialism is most like that of Cuban President FIDEL CASTRO RUIZ. Private property is very limited, and WOLFSON has made sure to use whatever means neccessary to prevent the emergence of any kind of corporate entity. All economics are decided by workers councils, or Soviets, who are provided suggestions and desired quotas by LW central planning committees of the Communist Party.

Leadership and Politics

Despite his kind nature and gregarious, gentle personality, WOLFSON has hidden most information about his personal life. He is not married, and has kept secret the identity of his family. There is controversy among some due to his young age (WOLFSON is not even twenty years of age, and may be as young as 17 according to some reports), but the stability of the nation is held as most important. The Communist Party is presided over by WOLFSON, the Interior Minister JIMMI JUAREZ, Supply Allocation Minister SYLVIA ROSENBERG, Assistant Military Supervisor Colonel SANTIAGO LOZADA, Environmental Minister LISA WILKIE, State Medical Secretary JON REILLY, and Political Minister MARC MARTINEZ.
