History

Early Years and Rise to Fame

Lexin Aurbellius Greblosk, First Prefect of Volitonia, Lord General of Volitaia and King of Toopoxia (July 1st 641AD - December 6th 687AD) was the Slavic General who became famous for his seperation from the other Slavic nations, Lexin was a part of the first wave of Slavic Colonisers who attempted to colonise the roughest parts of the Middle East.

Born in Smorrg to a family of far lesser nobility he served for many years as a Herald to a General where he got see combat close up from an early age, later when he came of mature age he joined the Army militia and very quickly rose through the ranks as the Slavic nations increased in the number of conflicts.

His rivalry with the Kings son, Egleski Vladimir, led to his planned incursion to Volitonia in order to impress the Royal family, whilst on this first expidition to Volitonia the King died and left his kingdom to his son, the planned attack was recalled but Lexin would not hear of this until he arrived at Daminski, deciding to ignore the commands of King Egleski he pushed onwards, siezing Kominski, Tauntillis and Lexin before the Campaign season was over.

Stories of these exploits reached Smorrg and Lexin became famous amongst Nobility, each wanting to either meet or fight alongside Lexin in what was considered the most successful Slavic Military Campaign, this angered Egleski who demanded Lexin be sentenced to death and instantly recalled, very few men volunteered to stop this great hero.

Tactical Victory over Volitaia

Lexin turned down the Emmisaries demand to return home, he had heard stories of the great Volitonian City of Volitaia and so he pushed forwards quicker, by playing off the hatred of different clans he was able to make great headway, even using a female native, Affellious, to help translate, she would later bear Lexin a son.

In the first month of the new campaign season Lexin had siezed the Capitol and began to follow the River Volitaia downwards to new lands, he was also attempting to beg the other Slavic Nations to recognise his great leadership rather than have him executed for betrayal, when the second campaign season ended Lexin was awarded the title of Prefect over his conquered lands, unfortunantly this ment that he was forced to spend his time in Volitaia overlooking the new provinces for the so far peaceful Slavic Kings.

Foundation of Toopoxia

Lexin decided to continue his military campaign despite his restriction to Volitaia, he commisioned his cousin Medlion Greblosk to continue the campaign down the River next taking Al-Miny where the forces of Lexin were massacred, including Medlion, in a vast betrayal orchestrated by Egleski.

In a fit of rage, both at the death of his Cousin and the treachery of Egleski, Lexin seperated himself from the Slavic nations and began his conquests once more, reaching Lexin South and fighting off an incursion by the Slavs, he announced himself King of the lands he now reffered to as Toopoxia, an ancient Slavic-Roman state where his dynasty originated from.

Later Life and Death

Lexin made a return to the lands of Smorrg in the attempt to heal the wounds caused by his seperation, he was not welcomed warmly amongst the people and in one case when he tried to gain access to a Governers carriage he was asked who he was to which he replied, "I am but a man." For this stunt he was severely punished and exiled from Smorgg.

Not much is known of Lexins later life, he spent most of his time in isolation barely leaving Volitaia Palace, some claimed that he had been driven slightly mad from the death of his Cousin, it is known that Lexins son Gaius was placed under the care of Lord Alex Al-Miny who trained Gaius in combat.

Lexin passed away peacefully in 687
