General Description
Libertarianism is, in general, a political philosophy that emphasizes individual rights and the exercise of free will.
Libertarianism in NationStates
Within the context of NationStates, individual rights are presented along three axes: personal rights, economic rights, and political rights (see also: UN Categories). Allowing the maximum level of rights or freedom along such an axis is characterized as being "libertarian."

The following UN Category classifications present libertarian levels of rights along at least one of the personal, economic, or political rights axes:
