The Republic of Lovik Carpathia is an expansive landmass held together by the robust unifying forces of the RLCCI, or Republican Lovik Carpathian Communist Institute. A young nation, Lovik Carpathia has previously been the epicentre of political and military forces significant enough to contribute to the fall of the Royal Anarchy.

Political Standing

"Communism, and so forth [...]"

Vedi Troski, the puppet "leading minister" of the RLCCI, is the soul-dictator of the publicised political standing of Lovik Carpathia as a whole, given that media restrictions prevent anyone else from providing an opinion based around what actually happens in the country or otherwise.

Troski famously summed up the image and position of Lovik Carpathia, as the RLCCI intended it to be perceived, in his hour long obligatory broadcast entitled: "Lovik Carpathia would like very much for the free market to be closed, if that's all right", in which he stated that the Carpathian region would, from that day on, be devotedly and singularly interested in "Communism, and so forth".

The speech was to become known as the "Market Speech", partly due to the unwillingness of the population to use the full title under conversation, but mainly to save on ink when news of the speech went to press.

Ownership of Production

The RLCCI gained popularity in the early days of its creation by promising that "the workers [would] own the means of production". During the "Market Speech", RLCCPE (Republican Lovik Carpathian Communist Peace Enforcement troops) stormed all major industries and seized all profits, produce and office supplies deemed to be proliferated under "capitalist ideals".

In this time, most companies were liquidated and of those that remained, all management was replaced by a "Government Installed Anti-Capitalist Scheme", headed by a "Committee for the Benefit of Social Progression".

Taxation

At the time the RLCCI seized power, Lovik Carpathia and its satellite RLCCI states were classed by the UN to have a "100% rate of taxation". Realising the irrefutable negativity of this phrase, the Government immediately abolished taxation, replacing it with a "scheme under which the burden of finance is removed from the shoulders of the people", later named the "Financial Burden Project", or FBP.

The RLCCFI (Republican Lovik Carpathian Communist Financial Institute) promptly took control of all currency in the Carpathian area in an effort to "fairly distribute wages in a way that every citizen can appreciate fully".

Media

After "The Daily Profit" issued a negative response to the "Market Speech", the RLCCI occupied all media channels, claiming that "the freedom of the press is of extreme importance, which is why it must be preserved and regulated closely by the Government".

"You are Happy People"

Within a week of "The Daily Profit"'s article ("Communist Ideals to Destroy Idyllic Community") the citizens of the RLCCI states saw the first national expenditure of FBP kravias. "Public Announcement Terminals", a system of loudspeakers, were installed on every street, which issue messages of importance, and, in the absence of these, default to a sequence of announcements assuring the public that they are "happy people" and that "suggestions of other, more comfortable lifestyles are merely degenerative lies".

Radio "C"

In order to shut down radio channels other than those approved by the government, all radio towers in the Carpathian region were destroyed and new towers were constructed that broadcast a single station on all frequencies except those required by the RLCCPE.

This channel was dubbed Radio "C". Popular music is played, uncensored, as no band would be foolish enough to produce a single containing lyrics of which the government would disapprove and the radio presenters have distinct, often sarcastic, personalities that are popular with the Carpathian population, making Radio "C" one of the more successful human relations projects that the RLCCI has ever undertaken.

Naturally, the radio station monopolises the ratings in the Carpathian region, though the number of listeners does plummet dramatically at 20:00, just in time for the daily recitation of the "Market Speech".

Publications

Publishers and librarians saw an opportunity to speak out at the condition of their industry when the Republican Lovik Carpathian Communist Educational Institute was cordially awarded national status, for the quality of its teaching, by the RLCCAC (Republican Lovik Carpathian Communist Awards Committee).

Seeing "an immediate problem" with the system, the RLCCI promised to respond quickly and effectively, such that all complaints would be "dealt with within the month".

Ahead of schedule, all publishers and librarians had been sacked within the week.

The entire industry of written material was taken over by a "Committee for the Benefit of Social Progression",
