MAROSCAR is the racing association for the Malsonic Archiapelago. It is extremely popular throughout the world. It can be divided in several eras.

Founding Era (1956-1961) Saw the rise of a young Lorne Roth, probably the greatest-ever Malson driver

Roth Era (1962-1971) Dominated by the Roth family and Roth Motorsports

Levictoire-Parnalsh Era (1972-1984) Engines built and driven by Marc Levictoire and Quentin Parnalsh robbed Roth Motorsports of their sucess

Veteran Era (1985-1997) The older drivers on the circuit (namely Rolf Karsten) benifited from a 1985 rules change until the new breed of driver arrived in 1998

Modern Era (1998-present) The first time the series wasn't dominated by a small group of people, this has seen the popularity boom like you've never seen a boom before.
