Mark "Dragon Champion" Leonidas is the middle child of the 3 freedom fighters he is probably the most mysterious of them. Mark and a group of freedom fighters spent the first months of the war for independence in the southern forests of Derralia their task was to find and tame the wild Dragons that lurked there. Though it took several months they eventually managed it and many Derralian historians would claim just in time as word reached Mark that the Derralian forces had launched an ambush on Valertinetten forces at Scyl cove the battle was delicately balanced. Mark decided to lead his men from the saddle of their dragons they arrived midway through the battle with the Derralian forces trying to press home the advantage of surprise Mark lead his men now known as the Dragonknights down from the skies hacking and burning the enemy they were key to victory at Scyl cove Mark and his dragon barely had a scratch on them this was where Mark gained the name "Dragon Champion", Mark then proceeded ahead of the naval forces to Hearth where he lead his Dragonknights again only this time in the battle of Hearth plains.
When the Leonidas children were seemingly brought to 1997 by the Dragon Lords. Mark was made wing commander of the Derralian airforce now fighters had replaced the dragons he used to fly and fight with. Mark has since adapted to flying in the cockpit of a fighter. However Mark in the year 2000 helped develop the sport of Dragon Racing and is the coach of the current Dragon Racing champion Serenity Fernley.
