Early Life
Martin Hale was born on May 4, 1946, in the coastal city of Harange. As a child, Hale dreamed of following in his father's footsteps and joining the Cravanian Imperial Navy. He enrolled in the naval academy at the age of 18, graduating at the top of his class in 1968 with the rank of Lt. Commander.
Hale was given command of a corvette tasked with patrolling the waters of Harange. Gradually, he worked his way up the ranks while taking down drug runners entering the country from nearby Clandonia Prime. When he reached the rank of captain, he was given command of the INS Liberty, a Europa-class aircraft carrier. He participated in several peacekeeping operations, and eventually climbed his way up to the rank of Rear Admiral.
After serving as a Rear Admiral for some time, Hale was promoted to Admiral. Hale gained command of his current flagship, the INS Illustrious, and was given command of the Fifth Battle Group of the Third Imperial Fleet. The Third was tasked with holding Cravanian interests, namely islands owned by Cravanian mining companies, safe in the Southwestern Theatre of Operations (SWTO). After performing dilligently in the defense of one of these islands against a terrorist group, Hale was promoted to Fleet Admiral. He was given command of the Third Fleet in late November of 2005, and given the position of Commander-In-Chief Southwestern Theatre of Operations (CICSWTO).
Current Status
Hale continues to command the Third from Cayanace, now a veteran of two combat operations in the past year.
