Medusa IV
The Ordo Traitoris was founded after the end of the Heresy to prevent any further Traitoric incursion or influence. It is one of the two Ordos protecting Medusa, the other being the Securitas. The Ordo Traitoris concerns itself with the Traitoric threats that faces the Medusa IV and her populace and for century’s has waged a covert war for Medusa’s continued survival.
An Ordo Traitoris Inquisitor is sanctioned to call on the aid of any organization of Medusa. The greatest threat, that of Traitor or invasion can only be dealt with by the Grey Knights, the Ordo Traitoris own Chamber Militant. Grey Knights are an elite, specialised force, they are genetically enhanced humans to such a level that they can sustain extreme amounts of pain and punishment where a human cannot. The Ordo Securitas are the defensive force off Medusa like the Ordo Traitoris they can call upon the mighty force of the Grey Knights if needed but they have their own troops. The storm troopers of the Ordo Securitas are highly trained in ranged and close quarter combat.
The Grey Knights are unique among Medusa’s army as the only force to have full knowledge of the dark secrets of Medusa. They are equipped with exotic weapons and armour to battle and defeat Medusa’s threats. Their main armament is the Nemesis force weapon and Terminator Aegis armour. The most rare and exotic weapon is the Psycannon, carrying psychically-charged bolts. Each Knight fights with a copy of the Liber Monicus displayed in a beautifully decorated ceramite case fastened to his breastplate or hanging from a chain around his neck. Below is an example of the basic troop. At full height they stand at least 11”
Many also carry several additional litany scrolls encased in ceramite tubes attached to their waists to show their untold faith to Medusa. In the Grey Knights ranks there are those fallen heroes who have been mortally wounded in battle those honoured heroes are put in a sarcoughagous of a dreadnought which is a walking tank, they are usually armed with an assault cannon a combat weapon with an attached heavy weapon or incinerator.
Here is one of these in the heat of battle, taken from a Grey knight’s trooper video recording. As you can see this is an assault dreadnought and is not to be taken lightly as they are practically unstoppable.
The Grey Knight counterpart to the commander of other forces is the Grand Master.
Knights is beyond question; as of current background fiction, no Grey Knight has ever turned renegade, or mercenary or otherwise been declared Excommunicate Traitoris during the chapter's entire recorded history. Some believe that the earliest Grey Knights were drawn from Loyalist survivors of Medusa’s Special Forces that turned Traitor during the Heresy.
The Banner of both Ordos’ differs as does Medusa’s main flag. The Ordo Traitoris banner is of which A Great I with a skull in the middle, its origins are unknown as since the Heresy many historical files were lost, whereas the Ordo Securitas is an Iron fist. Medusa’s main flag though is the Fist on a yellow triangle with 2 blue right angle triangles in the left and right corners.
