• June 2006 The turbullence caused by the inner revolution masterminded by Japal and Mesian using MESIO causes a period of contemplation and dispersion before The_Keyi is appointed Administrator.

Middle Europe Tactica is renamed Middle Europe Wehrmacht, and recruitment and training begin is earnest in preparation of the MESIO Treason fallout.

Delenista is wrongfully evicted from Middle Europe in a campaign to clear out multi's. A formal apology is lodged, but no response if forthcomming.

• May 2006 Majester is replaced by Messian as Chancellor, but only 9 days into his chancellorship Messian declares he is leaving Nationstates all together.

This shock news has the potential to create shock waves which may have the potential to result in civil unrest in the region.

Middle Europe re-elects Majester as Chancellor as the truth is revealled.

• April 2006 Due to a botched unauthorized invasion by renegade members of MESIO in Land_of_Unity, the URU declared war on Middle Europe. This situation was then resolved after the exposure of the URU as simply a made up organisation. This was exposed by EBC reporter Allenfort.

This also resulted in an unwritten alliance between Evil Cookies and Middle Europe to defeat this enemy after Majester is ousted by Mesian.

MESIO

MESIO, or, Middle Europe Security and Intelligence Organisation was established to both keep law and order in the region. Its primary aim is that of a domestic and inter-regional intelligence agency which aims at protecting regional security. The motto of MESIO is Intercept, Analyse and Act. Government Structure

Middle Europe Parliament consists of two institutions:

Office of the Chancellor

The Chancellor heads the Regional government. The Chancellor is elected by a majority endorsement by the Senators. The office's functions are:

• Approval of legislation
• UN Delegate
• CIC of the Military

Parliament

A NationState with UN membership registered on the Regional Forum is a Senator. A Senator may:

• May vote on proposals
• Is eligable for Chancellorship
• Officially endorses a fellow Senator for Chancellor

Former Senators

Former Senators who have have resigned their position.

• Mesian (2006-05-08) Retired from Middle Europe and NationStates in a surprising move after attaining the office of Chancellor.

UN Delegate

All NationStates with UN membership may endorse a Senator to become UN Delegate. The endorsement of a non-Senator is considered a contravention of the Middle Europe Cooperation Covenant.

Citizen NationStates of Middle Europe

All NationStates that are resident and thus citizens of Middle Europe. A NationState is elevated to a Member of Parliament when they register at the Middle Europe Forum. A more current list can always be found at here
