The military agency of the Confederate States of Disraeliland is the Federal Defence Force. It is provided for by Chapter III of the Constitution of the Confederate States of Disraeliland, and its Commander-in-Chief is President Sir James Brand DKC. It consists of five armed services (The CSD Army, the CSD Navy, the CSD Air Force, the CSD Marine Corps, and the Federal Coast Guard), and a civilian government department (the Federal Department of Defence) [N.B. The Federal Coast Guard is controlled by the Federal Attorney General's Department in peacetime]. There are approximately 4 million men and women under arms at this time.

Command and Control

The Commander-in-Chief of the Federal Defence Force is President Sir James Brand, DKC. He implements the resolutions passed by the Federal Executive Council. In practice however, all important decisions are made by Prime Minister Chris W. Marshall and Cabinet. These decisions are implemented by the Federal Minister of Defence Emilio Juarez MP.

The military commander known as the Chief of the Defence Staff, and this post is held by Field Marshal Rölf Sternheim. Under him are three service chiefs, the Chief of the General Staff, the Chief of the Naval Staff, and the Chief of the Air Staff, and the Chief of Operations.

The Chief of Operations coordinates assets from all services in order to conduct current operations, and prepare for future operations.

The CSD Army

The CSD Army is the main land force of the Federal Defence Force. It consists of 22 Divisions, a Special Operations Command, a Special Aviation Division, several administrative Corps, and Long Range Missile Batteries. The mission of the Army (according to the Federal Defence Act, 1950) is to conduct ground combat operations anywhere in the world to defend the Constitution, territory, people, allies, and intersts of the Confederate States of Disraeliland

CSD Navy

The CSD Navy is the maritime component of the Federal Defence Force. It also controls the CSD Marine Corps, and the Federal Coast Guard (in wartime). The mission of the CSD Navy is to conduct maritime, littoral, and amphibious combat operations anywhere in the world to defend the Constitution, territory, people, allies, and intersts of the Confederate States of Disraeliland

  • 30 F/A-18C/D Hornets in three squadrons (VFA)
  • 4 EA-6B Prowlers in one squadron (VQ)

  • 4 KA-6D Intruders in one squadron (VAK)
  • 6 S-3B Vikings, and 2 ES-3A Vikings in one squadron (VSQ)

A Hermes, or Principe de Asturias-Class Aircraft Carrier would deploy the following aircraft:

  • 12 AV-8B Harrier II Plus in one squadron (VFA)
  • 4 SH-60 Seahawks in one squadron (HS)
  • 6 SA.321 Super Frelons in one Squadron (HH)
  • 2 SA.321 Super Frelon (AEW) in one squadron (HW)


A Disraeliland-Class Battleship would deploy the following aircraft:

  • 4 AV-8B Harrier II Plus in one squadron (VFA)
  • 2 SH-60 Seahawk in one detachment


Destroyers and Frigates generally carry one, or two SH-60 Seahawks, and Support Ships generally carry two Super Frelons for replenishment.
Amphibious ships can carry a variety of CSD Marine Corps Aircraft.
The Navy also has several land-based squadrons of P6M Seamaster jet flying boats used in the Maritime Reconnaissence and anti-Submarine roles.

The Navy is planning to replace the F-14, F/A-18, and the A-6 with the F/A-18E/F Super Hornet. The Navy is also planning to replace the EA-6B with the EA-18G Growler.

The new Air Wing would look like this:

  • 60 F/A-18E/F Super Hornets in six Squadrons (VFA)
  • 10 EA-18G Growlers in one squadron (VQ)

CSD Marine Corps

The CSD Marine Corps consists of two Marine Divisions (each made up of 9 Marine Force Units), one Marine Air Division. The mission of the CSD Marine Corps is to conduct amphibious combat operations anywhere in the world to defend the Constitution, territory, people, allies, and intersts of the Confederate States of Disraeliland. The current Commandant of the Marine Corps is Lieutenant-General Bill Morton.

CSD Air Force

The CSD Air Force is the air arm of the Federal Defence Force, and controls Disraeliland's nuclear deterrent. The role of the CSDAF is to conduct combat operations in air, space, and cyberspace anywhere in the world to defend the Constitution, territory, people, allies, and intersts of the Confederate States of Disraeliland

The CSDAF consists of the following operational commands

Fighter Command

Fighter Command is responsible for the air defence of the Confederate States of Disraeliland. Fighter Command also has a search and rescue role (due to its massive surveillance capabilities, and nationwide communications network). The current Air Officer Commanding Fighter Command is Air Marshal Robert Tyler. Its assets include:

  • 50 Squadrons of F-15C Eagles (each squadron fields 20 aircraft)
  • 40 Patriot Batteries
  • A comprehensive sensor network including radar, OTH radar, and infra-red posts
  • 4 Squadrons of E-3C Hawkeyes
  • 1 Squadron of E-767s (out of 5 planned)
  • 10 Squadrons of SA.321 Super Frelons


Bomber Commmand


Bomber Command is responsible for the nuclear deterrent of the Confederate States of Disraeliland. The current Air Officer Commanding Bomber Command is Vice Admiral Nicolas Howard (Normally it is an Air Marshal, Admiral Howard is an SSBN officer). Its assets include:

  • 1 Squadron of B-3's
  • 3 Squadrons of B-1B Lancers
    • These aircraft are used mainly in the conventional role. For the nuclear role, they carry the Type 3 Bomb (0.2-350KT yield), or the Type 4 Bomb (200KT-3MT), the SRAM, or the DCM.
  • 4 Wings of Broadhurst 4C ICBM's (A wing possess 25 launchers)
    • These are being phased out in favour of Broadhurst 5B
  • 2 Wings of Broadhurst 5B ICBM's (8 more planned)
  • 4 GLCM wings. The DCM Mobile Ground Launching Unit carries 4 missiles, a wing has 25 of these.
  • Operational Control over the CSD Navy's Ohio-Class SSBN's.



Strike Command


Strike Command is intended to carry out tactical operations in support of the Army, as well as acting as a back-up to Fighter, and Bomber Commands. The current Air Officer Commanding Strike Command is Air Marshal Franklin Curtis. Its assets include:

  • 12 Squadrons of F-111FX's
  • 6 Squadrons of F-15E's (out of 36 planned)
  • 19 Squadrons of F-4EX's (being phased out)
  • 14 Squadrons of F/A-18E/F's (out of 50 planned)
  • 30 Squadrons of F-5E's (being phased out)
  • 8 Squadrons of A-4E's (being phased out)
  • 6 Squadrons of A-10A's
  • 4 Squadrons of A-1's
  • 2 Squadrons of EF-111A's
  • 2 Squadrons of F-4G's

Air Lift Command


Air Lift Command is intended to provide logistical support to the entire Federal Defence Force. The current Air Officer Commanding Air Lift Command is Lieutenant General Kevin Foley (USAF). Its assets include:

  • 3 Squadrons of C-5M's
  • 3 Squadrons of KC-33's (a military tanker/transport version of the 747-400)
  • 2 Squadrons of KC-767's (out of 10 planned)
  • 8 Squadrons of KC-135R's (being phased out)
  • 18 Squadrons of C-130H's
  • 4 Squadrons of CC-130J's (out of 10 planned)
  • 4 Squadrons of C-130J's (out of 15 planned)
  • 5 Squadrons of CH-47 Chinook's



Training Command


Training Command is intended to training for the CSDAF. The current Air Officer Commanding Training Command is Air Marshal Charles Lee. Its flying assets include:

  • 4 Flight Screening Centres using Cessna 182's
  • 2 Basic Flying Training Schools using Pilatus PC-9's
  • 2 Advanced Flying Training Schools using Pilatus PC-9's
  • 1 Fast Jet Training School using BAe Hawk Mk 130's (Hawk Mk 127's added after Australia's entry to the CSD)
  • 1 Multi-Engine School using Beech King Air B200's
  • 1 Navigation School using Beech King Air 350's

Special Operations Command


The role of Special Operations is Combat Search and Rescue, the provision of air support to other Special Operations units, Combat Air Traffic Control, and other roles. The current Air Officer Commanding Special Operations Command is Air Marshal David Tauber. Its assets include

  • 6 Squadrons of SA.321 Super Frelons (Special Operations Modified)
  • 5 Squadrons of MC-130H's
  • 2 Squadrons of EC-130's
  • 2 Squadrons of AC-130's
  • 3 Squadrons of A-1's

Nuclear Weapons

Disraeliland has several thousand nuclear warheads usable in several launch platforms. There are:

    • Type 3 Bomb (Tactical: 0.2-350KT yield)
    • Type 4 Bomb (Strategic: 200KT-3MT)

Army
