The Foreign Ministry’s stated aims are to advance the interests of the Eternal Republic and Xirniumites internationally; and to engage effectively with like-minded nations in the mutually beneficial endeavour of building a safer, more just and more prosperous world. Since the early eighteenth century, its seat of power has been the iconic Faëdaryávë Palace, in the central district of Naèräth.

The Senior Executive of the Foreign Affairs Ministry
The bureaucracy of the Office of Foreign Affairs is managed by the Senior Executive, led by two Permanent Under-Secretaries (including the Chair of the Board of the Foreign Ministry and the Head of the Diplomatic Service) who are assisted by twelve Deputy Under-Secretaries. The members of the Senior Executive are supported in their work by the assistant secretaries and myriad other civil servants of the Senior Executive Service.
